Harjor/Cissus is known as Harsankar and Asthisanghara in Sanskrit and has been used for millenia to heal bones and protect the skeletal system during calcium mobilization. This formula supplies some bio-available calcium but perhaps more importantly it likely triggers calcitonin, the thyroid molecule hormone that takes calcium out of blood serum to be more supportive of the skeletal structures, the same mechanism that happens during lactation to protect a mother.

Many of the traditional names of Harjor, like Harsankar and Asthisanghara, basically mean “Bone Healer.” Shatavari, pronounced “Shat-aa-vree,” literally means the 100 rooted one, and refers to how nourishing, grounding and supportive this herb is.
